About This Place

Located in the heart of Henderson, Sushi Cafe Hibachi Grill offers an inviting dining experience that artfully blends authentic Japanese flavors with a cozy, family-owned atmosphere. This charming spot is a true gem for lovers of sushi, hibachi, and poke, catering both to quick takeout cravings and relaxed sit-down meals.

The cuisine here excels in variety and freshness, showcasing a broad menu that spans from delicate nigiri to hearty hibachi dishes. Fans of nigiri will find joy in options like the buttery Hamachi Nigiri, melting yellowtail served atop perfectly handpressed sushi rice, or the subtly sweet and savory Unagi Nigiri, grilled eel glazed with a luscious unagi sauce and sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds. The Scallop Nigiri offers a clean, ocean-fresh bite, while the Salmon Nigiri delights with tender slices of salmon that practically melt in your mouth. For those seeking a little extra substance, the Ebi (Shrimp) Nigiri brings a satisfying, lightly cooked sweetness to the plate.

Complementing these are thoughtful hibachi sides that round out any meal beautifully. The Fried Rice is a golden, flavorful accompaniment with a perfect blend of textures, while the Grilled Vegetables—a vibrant medley of broccoli, zucchini, carrots, onions, and mushrooms—are grilled to tender perfection with a hint of smoky char. Lighter options like steamed rice and a Side Of Shrimp allow diners to customize their experience further, enhanced by house sauces such as the creamy, slightly tangy Yum Yum Sauce and the zesty, garlic-tinged S.O Sauce.

What truly elevates Sushi Cafe Hibachi Grill is its genuine warmth and attention to detail. Patrons frequently praise the fresh quality of the food and the welcoming, family-run vibe. As one guest shared, “The food was clearly very fresh and the service was amazing! Great mom and pop spot tucked away on South Stephanie.” Another highlighted the generous portions and presentation, describing it as a go-to spot for both affordability and satisfying taste.

The cozy atmosphere makes it a perfect destination for a casual lunch or an unpretentious dinner, with many customers appreciating the consistently polite and attentive staff who make every visit feel special. While some note that the establishment currently lacks beer options, the focus on quality and flavor more than makes up for it, especially for those hunting down truly fresh sushi rolls and hibachi dishes in Henderson.

Whether you’re craving sushi rolls, indulgent nigiri, or a sizzling hibachi experience, Sushi Cafe Hibachi Grill delivers a vibrant taste of Japanese cuisine that’s as inviting as it is delicious. It's an ideal spot to savor each bite while enjoying the relaxed, friendly ambiance of a local favorite.

I’ve been to this sushi spot a few times over the last year. It’s usually my go to spot for cheap and quick sushi. The quality and presentation are always good and you definitely get a bang for your buck. I’ve tried their monster boxes, poke bowls, sushi rolls, and nigiri and all have been good. I started to opt out the sauce they put in their poke bowls because it makes the rice too soggy/creamy and maybe some people like that but it’s a little too heavy for me. Their monster boxes have changed and I really liked how it was when I first ordered it a year ago so I don’t care much for them anymore unless It’s the ones that come with the sushi burrito.

The food was clearly very fresh and the service was amazing! Great mom and pop spot tucked away on South Stephanie. Prices weren’t ideal and either were the portions. There was no one dining in while I was there but orders for takeout were going out the time.

Friendly service, great food, and very reasonable prices. The ambiance is cozy and casual. The only negative is that they don't have beer, but for lunch, this place is perfect! Update: First time here since the new owners took over. We used to come a lot before the pandemic (under the old owners) and loved the sushi. The entire sushi menu has remained the same. The rolls are HUGE compared to other sushi places, and everything was great, just like before. No more Korean menu items, but now there are Hibachi menu items. The Hibachi Chicken was a bit sweet, but I really liked it as this was a little different than expected. Definitely still recommend!

Very happy to support Sushi Cafe. We had the Hibachi Shrimp and Salmon bowls with a Spider Roll, Anthem Roll, J Special Roll and Lemon Roll that just added a fantastic flavor to the whole thing. A special Micronesian style poke bowl. Everything is so delicious we have to try more of this great menu. We really want to see more restaurants open or we may have to move near Henderson to be closer.
